The whole West Bank, your way

A private car takes you to the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple, the Valley of the Queens, Deir el-Medina, Medinat Habu and the Colossi of Memnon, at your own pace. Pick it for the choice: book only a driver, or add an Egyptologist, tickets and lunch.

Full-Day Luxor West Bank Temples & Tombs

About this experience

Luxor Egypt Tours sells this as a menu. The from-price ($32, on sale at $29 until 14 November 2026) is for the car and driver only, per person in the largest group. You then add a private Egyptologist, the entrance tickets and lunch; the full option is called Car+Guide+Entry+Lunch. Without the ticket option you pay each gate yourself, starting with EGP 750 for the Valley of the Kings and EGP 440 for Hatshepsut (the official Valley of the Kings page; the Ministry price list).

The route is the fullest on the West Bank: Valley of the Kings (2 hours), Hatshepsut's temple (1 hour), the Valley of the Queens (1.5 hours), Deir el-Medina and Medinat Habu (1 hour each) and the Colossi of Memnon. Guests report 7 hours on average. Some guides switch the order and do Habu and the workers' village first, while the coaches are at the Valley of the Kings. Nefertari's tomb in the Valley of the Queens has been closed in March 2024 to monitor humidity, so don't plan around it.

Reviews are strong, with one recurring complaint: on the car-and-guide option, the guide's effort varies, and a few mention a craft workshop stop they didn't ask for. Confirm the full itinerary in writing when you book, and ask for an early start.

  • The full West Bank: six sites, including Medinat Habu and the workers' village
  • Pay only for what you need: car, guide, tickets and lunch are separate options
  • On sale from $29 until 14 November 2026
  • Wheelchair-accessible vehicle on the listing
  • Rated 4.9 from 834 reviews

What guests say

★★★★★

Overall, Valley of the kings and temple of Hatshepsut in the morning, valley of the workers, valley of the queens and Madinet Habu in the afternoon worked perfectly for our family of 4. [...] The whole trip took around 7 hours. [...] Only extra we had to pay was the drink for lunch and two extra tombs we wanted to visit in the valley of the kings.

I booked a driver-only plan and spent about 7 hours touring the ruins on the west bank of Luxor. My driver, Mr.George, was very kind and reliable. Not only did he wait for me while I was in the ruins, but he also took me to the Ramseum at my request instead of the Valley of the Queens, where Nefertari's tomb was closed.

Entry to most sites is included with the tour package, which is a nice perk [...] Note that if you want to see King Tut specifically, you’ll have to pay a small additional fee on-site for entry [...] There is also a stop at an alabaster souvenir shop [...] if you don’t want to buy anything, you can just enjoy the free mint tea they give you and the craftsmanship explanations.

Me and my wife started the tour at 6:30am so we can avoid the crowd when visiting the Valley of the Kings. [...] I should mention that it is absolutely scorching and the sites have little shade so bring lots of water and a bucket hat with you.

Tips before you book

  • Price the options side by side before you book. The full Car+Guide+Entry+Lunch option is the fair comparison with other tours.
  • Driver only? Download an audio guide or bring a good book: the guards can't explain the tombs.
  • Ask for Habu and Deir el-Medina early in the morning. They're quiet and the light on the reliefs is soft.
  • Bring a hat and 2 litres of water per person. The West Bank has very little shade.
  • Confirm any itinerary change with the operator in writing; one guest's change didn't reach the guide.
